Schedule
Hours of Operation
The Gunter Library is open to the public Monday through Saturday. Hours of operation
are:
Sunday Closed
Monday 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Tuesday 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Wednesday 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Thursday 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Friday 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Saturday 10:00 pm – 1:00 pm
Holidays
The Gunter Library generally follows the Gunter Independent School Calendar for
closings.
The library will be closed for the following holidays:
New Year’s Day
Memorial Day
July 4th
Labor Day
Thanksgiving Day
Christmas Eve
Christmas Day
New Years Eve
Inclement weather and other closings.
The Director is responsible for closing the library due to unhealthy conditions, unsafe
conditions, or other emergencies.

Updates to this Policy may be made from time to time. If material changes are
made, we will notify members by posting a notice on our website.

The Gunter Library often takes photos of its programs, activities and their participants.
Please be aware that these photos may be used in future brochures, flyers, web pages,
social media, news releases or other promotional materials. Those wishing not to be
photographed or recorded should inform the photographer.

This Privacy Policy explains how Gunter Library collects, uses, and protects personal
information. We are a volunteer-run, nonprofit community library.
1. Information We Collect
Gunter Library collects only the information necessary to provide library services and
manage memberships. This may include:
Name
Mailing address
Phone number
Email address
Driver’s license number
Library card/account number
Records of materials borrowed and returned
Payment type and donation amount (processed through our third-party vendors)
Program registrations
2. Payments and ACH Transfers
Gunter Library uses third-party services to process donations, membership fees, and
other electronic payments:
Stripe: May collect your name, email address, bank account or debit/credit card
information, and related transaction data for ACH transfers or card payments.
Stripe may access or review this information for fraud prevention and
compliance. See Stripe’s Privacy Policy.
PayPal: May collect your name, email address, mailing address, bank account or
debit/credit card information, and related transaction data. PayPal may access or
review this information for fraud prevention and compliance. See PayPal’s
Privacy Statement.
Other Processors: From time to time, we may use additional third-party
processors. Each processor collects only the information necessary to process
your payment or donation and is responsible for its own privacy practices.
(Venmo, Zelle.)
Gunter Library itself does not store your full bank account or card numbers.
3. How Gunter Library Uses Information
The library uses your information only to:
Provide library services and maintain membership accounts
Communicate with you about library materials, programs, and events
Contact you for event notifications and fundraising opportunities
Process payments, donations, and fees
Maintain records required by nonprofit reporting obligations
We will never sell, rent, or distribute your personal information to outside parties.
4. Your Choices
You may request to review or update your personal information at any time.
You may cancel your library membership or library card number at any time by
contacting the library directly.
5. Account Deactivation
Accounts with no activity for five (5) years may be automatically deactivated.
Deactivated accounts will have all personally identifiable information removed,
except where records are required by law or nonprofit reporting obligations.
You may reapply for membership at any time by signing up again.
6. Data Security
Gunter Library will take reasonable measures to protect your personal information. All
payment transactions are encrypted and handled by third-party processors (such as
Stripe and PayPal).
We will never sell your information.
We will not distribute your information outside the purposes described in this
Policy.
While no system is completely secure, we follow best practices for confidentiality
and rely on secure, industry-standard processors for payments.

Statement: Friends of Gunter Library & Musuem is the governing body of Gunter Library. All policies are written, amended, and approved by the Friends of Gunter Library & Musuem Board of Trustees to provide rules and guidelines under which the library operates.
